Is Donald Trump interested in Affiliate Earnings

Affiliate Marketing Earnings At Risk?

Affiliate Marketing is one of the most lucrative opportunities online and when done properly the payout can be a handsome one as well. My earnings have certainly increased over the course of the last 5 years. Affiliate marketers are some of the hardest working people I know, especially the people just starting out. They leave their 9-5 and come home to work their butt off to make a better future for themselves’s and their family. Unfortunately it seems this industry has caught the attention of someone else too.

Is This Fake News?

YES, the headline of this article is 100% fake news and was only used as a test to see how to properly apply this training. Yesterday I read some training which had some tips on how to create content that goes viral so I got to thinking. In a nutshell at the end of the training you are cautioned as to what kind of attention do you want to get. This post I actually chose controversial as a test to see who actually reads content till the end.

I have been noticing that most of the articles I’ve been seeing online have an eye-catching headline that automatically triggers an emotion that gets you to click on it, even if it’s a lie it doesn’t matter because they already have your attention.

Here’s an example, Yahoo News ran a headline not very long ago that reads “Actor regrets hitting Michelle Obama in dodge ball”. Pretty petty Right? Wrong! How many people do you think clicked on that article because it used the Obama name in the title?

How about this viral Facebook post that used Tom Brady to sell a testosterone booster. “Tom Brady Suspended After NFL Discovers He Used Performance Enhancing Drugs”, another catchy title that has nothing to do with Tom Brady but I’m sure a lot of people clicked on the link.

Trump Doesn’t Want You Affiliate Earnings

In case, you haven’t figured it out yet this blog was a test to see how many people actually read all the content before commenting. Affiliate Marketers already pay their fair share of taxes and the president is not targeting your affiliate marketing earnings.

The affiliate marketing industry is wide open and very far from being saturated so your earnings are safe. Let’s see who actually reads content to completion by checking out the comments below. I will approve only comments that do not have vulgar language and does not insult or say hurtful things to other commenters.

I hope I didn’t get to many people upset but I was just running a test on how quickly a Misleading headline can go viral and ultimately go from Fake to real in a short time because a lot of people read the intro and just share it without ever looking for the truth.

You can PM me for the training link if you want to. I find the concept of the training very interesting and can’t wait to see all the rants from people that did not read this post till the end.

What The Test Revealed

My headline was so catchy that I actually had to reword it because just as I suspected over 50% of the comments were all hate comments because they never read past the Headline. The other comments were relevant to the article and actually made sense.

How many times have we seen a social media post go viral after people only see the picture and headline without actually reading the content? Unfortunately this happens all to often and a reputation can be destroyed just from one viral post that isn’t even real.

Take The High Road

I’ve been blogging for 5 years now and although it’s tempting to use crazy headline to get some traffic you really need to think about whether it’s worth the headache of traffic that probably isn’t going to convert anyways. This is why I have not provided any affiliate links in this post.

My post today is not to get sales from an eye-catching headline but merely a test to see how many people are reading all the way through. I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Happy commenting and KEEP IT CLEAN Please

  • Hi

First off, Your headline has caught my attention. Yes, affiliate marketing is wide enough make better life for many people. Like you’ve said, a lot of people  doing hard work to make their family happy.

Regarding of fake news and eye catching headline, I think it’s true. most of the time people tend to click on the eye catching link and when they are realized the content is not match up with title of the page then before take action they soon leave the sit. I am not sure by doing that who would wins and who would loses. of course in this case affiliate marketer would win if they apply right PPC campaign; but if not?!.

Thanks for your post and it’s funny title.

    • Running a successful PPC campaign can be tricky, Ive been using my natural traffic through my content to convert. I do run campaigns using PPC but the keyword has to be getting huge traffic for me to even engage.

I would say all in all this little test turned out a lot better this time around. I’m seeing a lot more comments that are engaging and relevant this time.

  • Love your post and love the idea definitely catching my attention and you got me reading the entire post. It is so true an eye catching headline is so important.  I am going to use your suggestions for my next blog. I am a blogger and often I struggle with the headline.  Sometime I feel silly to write something really weird but on the same time.its the weird that counts

    • Hey Barbara, as you read in my post you need to use your headlines wisely. I ran this test one other time and it didn’t turn out so well, if you would like you can contact me for the link to the complete training. I just don’t want to use this post for links because that’s not what it was intended for.

      Thank You

  • Actually, you did catch my attention. I read all the way till the end to see how you conclude the news 🙂
I am a newbie in affiliate marketing and the headlines really make me curious to know what is Donald Trump going to do to affiliate marketers earning.

I am one of those who will read an article or news with catchy headlines or images.

So much to learn from experience blogger like you :). Thank you!

    • Hey Christine, this is actually my second run at this because although the first one received a ton of response the article was longer and people were leaving some bad hate comments. I appreciate you reading the content all the way through and hopefully I have educated some new marketers like yourself as to what kind of attention they wish to get with their blog posts.

  • Hey Jason,

Interesting article, I must admit that the article headline really did catch my attention; but as you say if the post then isn’t relevant to the article people get annoyed and chance is they will never return to your site and as affiliate marketers/ those who run a website business, the aim is always to get as many visitors returning as possible! I try to come up with headlines that are exciting but in line with what my article is about, it may take a bit more time to think of one; but is well worth it!

    • Well said Nate, this isn’t the normal post people are used to seeing from me and they probably never will again. I really just wanted to run a test to see how many people actually read my content until the end. I am finding that the people who are leaving comments are actually reading the entire post because my analytics show me a lot more views on this page compared to the amount of comments.

      Best Wishes
