MoneyGenie.co Overview

Name: Money Genie

Owner: Unknown

Website: money genie.co

Launched: December 2019

Price: Free ( Affiliate Tasks can get costly and cell phone charges may occur)

Recommended: No

Scam Warning: Yes (Scam Warning signs throughout entire site)

Summary: MoneyGenie.co is another website that claims to be the #1 social media influencer. Social media influencer schemes have been popping up every month and have cluttered the internet in 2019 and it looks like there is no end in sight. I see this carrying over into 2020 and beyond.

MoneyGenie.co is Identical to other schemes I have exposed except for the design of the site, everything else is the same. Here is a short list of similar websites I’ve busted and exposed saving my readers not only money but potential Identity Theft and the sale of your personal information to some sketchy third parties.

These are just 6 schemes identical to MoneyGenie That have popped up in 2019 and there are many more! Just the six I’ve listed averages out to be a new site every 2 months in 2019.

What Is MoneyGenie.co?

At a glance the platform seems fairly simple, they claim to pay you $5 for every referral you get and $1 for every click your affiliate link gets. Pretty easy money for just getting clicks and referrals and being free to sign up makes it even more tempting to join

The problem is, the pay is completely unrealistic, if it were that easy everyone would be doing this.

Websites like this are becoming so popular because they make it sound like you will make easy money and get paid well for simply sharing a link. Basically, if you can use a computer then this is for you.

The problem is, it doesn’t matter how much money is showing in you account because they have no intention of paying you anyways. Just like the 6 website I listed above have never ever paid anyone, neither will money genie. I am 100% sure you will NOT get paid. I’ll bet my reputation on it.

My #1 Recommendation

Will MoneyGenie Really Work?

The short answer is NO! This website is fake and the only people making money with this system are the creators of this scheme and all you are doing by sharing the affiliate link they give you be promoting them for more people to get scammed.

These creators are bold and make bold claims because they know something. They know people hate their alarm clocks and the daily grind of getting up and going to work.

They know lots of people are struggling just to afford that one week out of the year when they take a vacation with their family or just simply make ends meet.

They know people are always looking for ways to make easy money and they know if it’s free to join that you probably will.

Let’s say you join Money Genie. You will see a sign up bonus of $35, but you can’t have it. You have to share your referral link and get some referrals and clicks

Also, you will have to complete some tasks that are a complete waste of time and many of them cost you money. Not only that but these tasks require you to sign up with other fraudulent programs that are looking for something, Your personal information and passwords.

Money genie doesn’t want your money right away because they need you to sign up for some of these fraudulent tasks and they’re desperate to get as much of your personal information as possible.

Websites like this have not only been responsible for identity theft but also wiping out PayPal and bank accounts, These are professional hackers and the more information they get from you the more at risk you are at for having something horrible happen.

So what about your money? When will you get it? You Won’t

Cashing Out

The cash out threshold is $200. This means by this point you have got some referrals and lots of exposure for moneygenie.co. Not Good!

Now like anyone else would, you want to get paid for your efforts and why shouldn’t you. You’ve done everything they have asked you to do and it was fairly easy work and now you want them to pay you like they promised.

Sad news my friend. You will never get paid because the money they show in your account isn’t real. Its just numbers. The money is fake just like the company.

This is the point in the journey where they lock you out of your account and send you an automated message saying you’ve broken some kind of rule in the terms and conditions and all the so called “Money” you made with this get-rich-quick scheme is gone.

I know this all too well because it happened to me. I knew it was going to but I had to join it to review it.

Now your going to be upset and try to contact support but you going to find out that the email address they provide is fake just like the so called managers Olivia P. and Ashley D.

Contact Page Fake

I’ll start with the address they give you in the Netherlands and although they give a physical address it’s probably nothing more than a virtual office which can be shut down in under a minute. You can read more about virtual offices on my Identify Scams page. This is what I found for the address listed on the moneygenie.co contact page.

Schadijk 94, Veenendaal, Utrecht, 3905 XAMoney Genies AddressEmail support is no better here’s what I got when I tried to email support with a simple question. My email and phone number are blotted out for obvious reasons.email error messageThere is a simple explanation as to why this happened and its because the email address is fake. Every website you build with Word Press comes with an email address so support @ money genie.co went through but No response. When you try contacting your so called owners or “Affiliate Managers” at the email provided you get nothing because the email addresses don’t exist. Have a look below.

Fake Testimonials

Every money making opportunity needs a few testimonials to back up the claims of what the opportunity claims to be. The problem with moneygenie is, the testimonials they are showing you are FAKE! I’ll share some of my research and let you decide for yourself just how much of what MoneyGenie says is actually true.Fake Testimonials

Okay, Now lets have a look at the real Ana Cheri and Desi Banks. I’m willing to bet they don’t even know MoneyGenie is using these pictures to promote the company. I found them both in under 10 seconds each just from doing a Google Search.

Is MoneyGenie.co A Scam?

There are way too many Red Flags for me to call moneygenie legitimate. My conclusion is that they are a scam and you will not get paid. I strongly advise anyone currently using money genie to stop immediately. You have passwords and personal information at risk.

A few steps to take moving forward would be to change your passwords for such things as your PayPal, Online Banking, Email, and Social Media accounts. Most of these platforms now have a 2 step verification process which may be a bit of a inconvenience for you to start doing but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I have concluded in my review that MoneyGenie.co is a scam and have deleted my account. Joining these sites is something I have to do to get inside and bring you the most up to date and accurate information possible but as soon as I see Scam I get out and recommend you do the same.

  • Jason, there are many like the one I mentioned. That was GlamnLuxurious and I can’t say they conned me. They send you a contract and you can choose how many followers you want and how much money you want to spend for that.
It is hard to say if it is a scam or not. They do deliver what they promise. But it is good for nothing in the end. Better to stay away from such “offers”.

    • Agreed I think social media is being flooded with all kinds of useless phishing scams. I went and checked out GlamLuxurious and don’t think I would waste my time with them. I think if you are going to spend money for followers you can just create your own CTA and pay FB or Instagram directly. I don’t think it’s a scam but definitely a waste of money.

  • You are right that social media influencer schemes have been popping up everywhere lately. I have to admit I fell for one about three months ago. I received several offers to boost my instagram account and I made use of one of the offers. I paid about $40 to get 500 new followers, my account was about 300 people that time. In an instant I had over 800 followers but guess what? It went down slowly in the following months as the followers obviously add new people and remove other. So now I have about 450 followers and it was good for nothing. Stupid me. I don’t even know why I went for it, probably because I wanted to try it. Well, lesson learned!
This program, MoneyGenie is on the opposite side, not for those who want more followers but for those who are looking for money making online. You are right that if they claim to pay you $5 for every referral and $1 for every click of your affiliate link, it looks good. Too good to be true though.
It is horrible that in the end that don’t pay you as the money is fake. A lot of work for nothing, if you joined in good faith. It’s sad that there are so many scammers nowadays and it’s hard to find some honest opportunity.
Thanks for this valuable review, I’m sure it will help many others to see the truth behind this scam.

    • Lenka,

I am very interested to learn more about the company you speak of in your comment and would be happy to review this company. Please Contact Me with a link and some more information regarding your experience. I think I know who they are because I just received a request to look into a similar kind of scam but won’t mention them yet until my review is complete.

      Thank You

      Jason

  • Hi, my first impression of the name is a big indication that there is something Shifty with that name. The name Money Genie says it all, I can’t see myself trusting in such a ridiculous name. There is a sucker born  every minute. I am sure many people will learn their lesson with this company if they haven’t already. You would think their intuition would Tell them but I guess that’s not the case with everyone. I probably wouldn’t have joined but your review reassures me that I made the right choice.

    • I think many people feel the company is safe because they are not asking for any money up front. This gives a false sense of security that the site is safe. Unfortunately nothing could be further from the truth. There is a lot going on behind the scenes with these scam artists and your personal information is at risk. So many people are looking for easy money online or a way to get-rich-quick that they ignore the blatant warning signs and proceed anyway. Trying to cash out is usually the point when a person realizes they have fallen victim to A SCAM!

  • I must say that this is another way to waste your precious time, although I haven’t used moneygenie, I have definitely used on or two of this kind of platform and all of them wear scams. I think this one won’t be any different from the others. Thanks alot for this awesome article it would help us all.

    • Always happy to help, I’m glad you enjoyed the read and happy it helped.

  • I am always skeptical of websites like these, I tried one once before because it seemed too good to pass up, but in reality it was too good to be true. I’ve learned that most of these sites are. I have heard of affiliate marketing before though, is that legit? I would love to be able to quit my job and become an affiliate marketer in less than a year! Where do I sign up?

    • Travis, we all want to quit our job in under a year but it’s just not always a reality for some. Affiliate Marketing is legit and the training at Wealthy Affiliate taught me how to do it properly. I was making decent money in just under a year but you have to know that I worked very hard to do it and you will need to do the same. Read my Wealthy Affiliate review and you can see if it’s a good fit for you.

      Best Wishes

  • Thanks for painting the picture of reality to your readers. As you go on, I see things very similar to what I have experienced first hand as well. You are absolutely correct in that your name would be at risk so exposing the right scams is so important for you. We don’t have to waste time doing this non sense thanks to writers like you

    • Andrew, I am extremely careful about what make money online opportunities I align myself with. I have been an Affiliate marketer since 2014 and if there is one thing I’ve learned, it that trust is a must. Unfortunately platforms like MoneyGenie exist and all I can do to help is expose them and hope that my review reaches the right people before they fall for it.

  • Hey. I never actually used MoneyGenie but I tried other products with similar claims (social media influencer). If you ask me, those aren’t legit ways to make money online. I seriously prefer products based on SEO white hat techniques, because I feel like they are focused more on long term results. As for social media programs, they tend to have faster but smaller results. In my case, the revenue was always significantly lower with programs focused on social media than the ones focused on SEO. But obviously, that may not be the case for everyone, I’m only speaking from experience.

So thanks for giving out your honest opinion on MoneyGenie, I definitely don’t plan to check this product out after reading this. I will stick to my SEO-based programs and also check your recommended alternative.

    • Thanks for checking out this review Ashley. You are on point about money making opportunities on social media. Just this year I have come across almost a dozen social media based opportunities and only 2 were actually Legit.

I have personally had continued success using Wealthy Affiliate and always offer that as an alternative to the social media grind.

      Regards,

      Jason
